Oracle has taken over the development of OSX Java and had released Version 7 for Mac. I had installed it about 10 days ago, and yesterday, its auto update mechanism kicked in and updated itself. I do not believe there will be a Java 6 update as Apple has stopped doing so in 2010. The Java 7 can be downloaded from:
