For people who continue having difficulties with a properly set-up Mavericks server and client, if you happen to have Little Snitch 3.3 installed, you may want to experiment with disabling it on both the client and the server sides.
- Little Snitch 3 seems to work fine on the server and on the client unless both of them are Mavericks.
- Little Snitch 3 seems to work fine if Mavericks client is mobile.
- Little Snitch 3 prevents log in on a properly set-up Mavericks server + Mavericks desktop client.
Using Little Snitch 3’s “Restart in permissive mode…” does not resolve this issue. Stopping network filter both on the client and the server does.
