I use it mostly for documents even though I have also scanned thousands of old pictures. While the photo quality is nowhere close to a good flatbed, its speed more than makes up for it. Once, I took it with me overseas as a carry-on, scanned my mom&#8217;s 1,200 old pictures in a day and a half, and brought it back. No can do with a flat bed.<\/p>\n<p>As a side note, my old 110 volt Epson went through three separate power supplies when it was &#8216;accidentally&#8217; plugged in to 220 volts in Italy. While that was purely operator error, S510M came with an international power supply that had no such issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a92013 EthnoSync.com.
